West Lake Longjing is a green tea and one of the top ten famous teas in China. It is produced in the mountains around Longjing Village, West Lake, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, hence its name. It has a history of more than 1200 years. When Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the West Lake in Hangzhou, he highly praised the West Lake Longjing Tea and conferred 18 tea trees in front of the Hu Gong Temple under the Shifeng Mountain as "Imperial Tea".
